WBR 77: One of the most popular ways to play a shuffle that consists of playing double-stops instead of chords. I play them using the palm-muting technique. I also play some licks within the chord changes and during the turn-around (the last two bars of the progression). WBR 80: Another super-popular way to play a shuffle in the key of E using power chords. The progression starts with an intro lick that uses notes from the open position of the Blues scale. The same lick is played at the end of the progression on the turnaround section (the last 2 bars). Hey guys, Brad Litton from Simple Guitar.com here with another beginner guitar lesson for you where I'm going to give you 3 levels of blues shuffles starting with beginner, then intermediate, & finally advanced. Guitarists substitute this rhythm guitar technique if strumming open-position major chords like E, A, and D sounds too jangly, boomy and "big." Blues and blues-related guitar styles employ The Shuffle Pattern frequently. Come Together by The Beatles is a great example of the D shuffle and the A Shuffle. There are lots of creative variations on the basic pattern taught here. Take it slow and enjoy the learning process ! You can do it !
