video pit: 🤍 Qualche giorno fa ho ricevuto una telefonata da Paolo del gruppo pit "paranormal investigation team": "Gian, ho trovato il modo di andare nell'isola più infestata al mondo, a poveglia!" ovviamente non me lo sono fatto dire due volte. ho raccolto qualche videocamera e siamo andati a prendere il taxi per attraversare la laguna di venezia e raggiungere poveglia: se non la conoscete, poveglia, anche conosciuta come "l'isola del male", è un'isola della laguna di Venezia posta a sud, di fronte a Malamocco lungo il Canal Orfano, che collega la bocca di porto di Malamocco con Venezia. Ad oggi è un isola disabitata, non aperta al turismo e abbandonata all’erosione che ne riduce ogni giorno di più i confini. Ma non sempre è stato così. Nel 1700, all’epoca della “morte nera” essa divenne un lazzaretto. La peste colpì duramente l’Europa e a Venezia, al fine di evitare la diffusione della malattia il magistrato della sanità dispose che tutti i corpi sarebbero dovuti essere condotti sull’isola di Poveglia per essere bruciati e sepolti in fosse comuni. Successivamente, il provvedimento si estese drammaticamente ai contagiati: Poveglia divenne l’isola della quarantena, dove individui ancora coscienti, a volte non ancora contaminati, venivano condotti a morire lontano da Venezia. Uomini, donne e bambini morirono lentamente, consumati dalla malattia. La testimonianza di questo strazio si trova nel terreno di Poveglia stessa, dove sotto placidi vigneti, vengono ancora oggi rinvenuti migliaia di corpi. Poveglia, manicomio nel 1922 a Poveglia venne eretto uno strano edificio la cui funzione è ancora oggi dibattuta; qualcuno è arrivato perfino a negarne l’esistenza. Di che edificio si trattava? Da alcuni archivi risulta che esso svolse la funzione di casa di riposo per anziani. Tuttavia i fatti e le testimonianze sembrano condurci ad una versione un tantino differente e cioè che l’edificio fosse una clinica per malati di mente. Il manicomio venne poi smantellato nel 1946, ma gli anni in cui esso fu attivo furono i più ricchi di avvenimenti e avvistamenti inquietanti. Sembra infatti che i pazienti dell’ospedale fossero tormentati dalle anime dei morti di peste e che in quei periodi le richieste di trasferimento presso altri centri arrivassero numerosissime alla scrivania del direttivo. TG VENEZIA (lunedì 18 luglio 2016) - Singolare intervento nella notte tra sabato e domenica dei vigili del fuoco di Venezia per portare in salvo dei turisti americani che gridavano aiuto dall’isola di Poveglia. L’allarme è stato dato dall’equipaggio di una barca a vela che transitava nelle vicinanze, attirato dalle urla dei cinque ventenni. Arrivati sull’isola, i vigili del fuoco hanno caricato a bordo dell’autopompa lagunare gli spaventati e suggestionati turisti e dopo averli tranquillizzati li hanno portati in terraferma. I cinque ragazzi americani del Colorado si erano fatti portare a Poveglia da un taxi acqueo per trascorrere la notte alla ricerca di fantasmi. (🤍)
