Installation of BUZZWING 1, tow ball platform for 1 bike
Click here 🤍 for more information. The Buzzwing is well balanced and very easy to fit - you can let go once you've placed it on the tow ball, which makes fitting the rack much easier. Loosen the patented conical fitting ( which fits to all tow balls), place on the tow ball and tighten the hand-turning wheel, a really quick, easy and ergonomically satisfactory thing to do. Turn the key in the tightening wheel and the carrier is then locked to the tow ball. Additional tensioning of the Nyloc nut is required (spanner supplied), depending on the tow ball, to make sure the carrier is firm. It tilts to allow access to the boot, even with the bikes fitted. The tilt function is really easy to use and well balanced whilst in use. It sits high on the tow ball, well clear of speed bumps and other hazards such as steep ferry ramps. The wheel holders will accommodate all wheelbases, even small children's bikes. Padded bike frame cradles rotate 360 degrees to fit most bike frame tubes and the ratchet straps allow a quick and secure attachment of the wheels. The straps are long enough to accommodate tyres up to 3” wide (a longer strap is also available separately). All parts are replaceable if, for example, someone forgets that a tow bar carrier is fitted and reverses into a wall - which happens! Comes equipped with a locking cable to secure your bikes. Supplied with UK standard 3 function lights and a 7 pin plug; electrical adapters are available for those with 13 pin systems - see below. The build quality - tube bending, welding, rust proofing, painting, component quality, is exemplary. All tools you might need are provided. Dimensions: 103 x 88 cm deep (measured from the centre of the tow ball to the outside edge of the number plate holder). The arms fold flat for storage, or to fit in the boot. Weight: 15.7kg. This rack tilts far enough to open the tailgate on vehicles with all but the most vertical tailgates. Owners of larger vehicles with vertical tailgates (such as the VW Touran, Renault Grand Scenic, Ford Galaxy, Citroen C8 and Vauxhall Zafira) report that the rack doesn't tilt far enough back to open the tailgate. Unfortunately this carrier is not suitable for Volkswagen T5 models - the bottom of the tailgate clashes with the tow ball fitting mechanism. If you have a vehicle with a vertical tailgate you may not be able to open it with this rack. We would recommend considering the Atera Strada DL3. 🤍

It attaches to the tailgate using four straps. Foam pads on the rack protect your bumper / tailgate. It's been designed to give an increased distance between the bike and the car, so there's much less chance of your bike coming in contact with the car. The narrow arm design means most bike frames will fit securely onto this rack. This carrier has a distance of 32cm between the bike support arms. An ‘artificial cross bar’ will be required for bikes without a traditional cross bar, e.g. ladies and full-suspension bikes . Please note that you cannot use rear fixing carriers on cars with rear spoilers, or on vehicles where modifications to the roof or tailgate would have an effect on the fitting of the carrier. You will need to find a different solution - either roof mounting and/or tow bar mounting. The majority of cars require a lighting board and number plate when using this rack

Click here 🤍 for a quick link to the Buzz Grip. The Buzz grip is an artificial cross bar that attaches between the seat and handlebar posts, and telescopes between 400 and 800 mm. Bikes need to be properly balanced on bike carriers. Strap On carriers in particular must not be twisted by unevenly balanced bikes. It's essential for many ladies bikes, and increasingly required for modern mountain bikes with "non standard" frames which are too narrow to hook over the two arms of most 'hang on' and 'strap on' bike carriers. 🤍

The Spark 2 is supplied fully assembled and is really easy to fit with its "first time only" adjustment system. Once fitted it sits high on the tow ball, well clear of any speed bumps and other hazards such as steep ferry ramps. The wheel holders slide in and out to accommodate all wheel bases, even small children's bikes if you turn the wheel holders 180 degrees. The tough wheel holders easily adjust and fit tyres up to 2.8 inches with a longer wheel strap available for semi fat tyres. If you have fat tyres there is also an adapter available separately. The BUZZ RACK Spark also comes with a 5 function 13 pin lighting system, with UK compliant fog lights, i.e. the fog light is on the right hand side / offside. An adapter is available if you have a 7 pin sockets.

Consider the following: These carriers are supplied ready to go; no assembly work is required. The patented conical tow ball clamp fits onto all 50mm diameter tow balls, even the ones which don't meet BS standards with e.g. rough casting around the tow ball neck. Fitting is a matter of spinning a hand-turning wheel, a really quick, easy and ergonomically satisfactory thing to do. Turn the key in the tightening wheel and the carrier is then locked to the tow ball. Additional tensioning of a Nyloc nut is sometimes required (spanner supplied), depending on the tow ball, to make sure the carrier is firm. It's fine engineering, and strong - the Moose has been TÜV approved to the proposed ISO standard R18-904-4, a standard some way tougher than current requirements. Tilting is a safe single-handed operation, even with the bikes fitted; the carrier tilts far enough for use even on vehicles with vertical tailgates. The bike frame holders need to be adjusted on the support arms first time out - distances between bikes may vary - before being tightened in place (tool supplied). They have properly padded cradles and easily adjusted rubber straps. The support arms are 28cm apart, centre to centre, a distance which will suit the majority of modern frames; we supply a telescopic cross bar for use with non standard frames - see below. Two top quality 200cm safety straps are also provided (buckles sewn not crimped). One of these should be threaded through all the bike wheels to prevent swaying and friction damage - it's up to you to provide any extra protection required - and the other should be passed through all the bike frames and then looped around the carrier. The bike holder arms should be moved from the horizontal to the vertical for storage, or when the vehicle is parked up. Dimensions: 84.5cm high from the centre of the ball and 55.0cm deep from ball centre. Weight: 8.5kg. A lighting board will be needed - see below. We also list an electrical adapter which will be needed if you buy our standard 7 pin lighting board and also have a 13 pin electrical system. The build quality - tube bending, welding, rust proofing, painting, component quality - is exemplary

The Eazzy 4 is new for 2019 and includes numerous improvements on BUZZ RACK's previous 4 bike folding carrier; colleagues here have been using the Eazzy 4 for holidays and our consensus is that it's overall the best 4 bike tow bar carrier we've seen, not far behind the premium segment Atera STRADA DL3. The only thing you will need to do once out of the box, is attach the lighting unit (1 screw per side) and number plate bracket (1 bolt). Retaining clips are provided, four of which just simply clip onto the main frame and two attach to both wheel holders closest to the lights. All tools are provided. You fit the Eazzy 4 in its folded state, which leaves you with all the space you need to work on the tow ball fitting system. When you first place it on the tow ball it supports itself - you can let go of it and it won't fall to the ground. The Eazzy 4 is suitable for carbon frame bikes, electric bikes up to 20kg (always load the heaviest bikes nearest to the car) and kids bikes.
